These beautiful white geraniums overwintered in the house but they can't be tricked. They know spring is here and began to bloom. It is still not warm enough outdoors for them.

This is daffodil day for me.
Yes, this first picture is from the same photo session as my header photo. I love the orange center of these beautiful spring flowers.

Don't be jealous, we don't have them in our gardens. These are from abroad, Holland I think.

Our daffodils are much smaller but they have a wonderful scent, unlike these daffodils from the picture.

Ladybug climbing a pussy willow-macro photos

Finally, in the last two day, we had a little sunshine too. Look at this two spotted ladybug (Adalia bipunctata) climbing the pussy willow!
The little insect is ready to take over its hard job of biological control agent.

Heart of a blue Iris flower-macro photography

This is the heart of a blue Iris flower, or is it the mouth of it?

Sometimes a very strange view, with details that we can't see otherwise.

Saucer magnolia bud - macro

At the end of April, early blooming magnolias are almost gone but saucer magnilias are just budding by us.
I just took a macro photo of one of these magnolia buds, in the photo bellow.
I May, it will be an amazing sight to see all these flowers open.

Late-blooming double tulip - purple peony tulip macro

Late-blooming double tulips are also known as peony tulips because of the shape of their flower head, resembling of fluffy peonies.

Peony tulips have large and double flowers that can reach 10 cm across.
The heavy flower head can be easily damaged by wing and spring shower.

This here is a long lasting double late tulip, in a lovely purple color.
