I'll display a white alstroemeria today, the flower of friendship.
Alstroemeria, also known as Peruvian Lily, Lily of the Incas and Parrot Lily is a members of the amaryllis family.
Alstroemeria is similar in appearance to lilies, hence the name. Albeit in miniature version.
The lovely and delicate looking white blooms are heart shaped, therefore, the Peruvian Lily is considered to be a flower of friendship.
I like how one petal, that with the speckles stands out from the rest.

Maia, this bloom is really beautiful! I'm a huge fan of lilies of any kind...can't do without them!
There is no reason for you being sorry, there are no identical flowers in the world. They are all different and beautiful, and yours is an amazing macro.

Very special that the leaves are shaped like hearts. Didn't know the Lilies came from Armarylis, come to think of it, it's petals are almost the same - long and lengthy.
Not the leaves but the petals are shaped like hearts.
Lilies don't come from amaryllis but these Peruvian lilies do. They are not lilies, they are alstroemerias.
I love the alstromerias - they don't like my garden as the soil is too heavy and wet for them - so I have to be content looking at them in the garden centres or here with your beautiful macro. White is not a colour I am used to seeing its normally yellow, peach orange or pink ones. Have a lovely weekend Maia - next week I will be organised for Macro Saturday.
