Hemerocallis lilioasphodelus, on its botanical name, is one of the first daylilies used for breeding and is found in parts of Europe and China.
Lemon Lily has narrow, up to 75 cm (30 in) long leaves, forming big spreading clumps.
The flowers, young leaves and the tubers of this plant are edible and are used in Asiatic (Chinese and Japanese) cuisine.
