These lovely pink hollyhock flowers are my contribution for today.
The old-fashioned Hollyhocks (Alcea rosea) are one of the oldest flowers known.
It's a stunning sight to see their beautiful blooms in a summer landscape.
Esteemed as a colorful cottage plant, the hollyhock is a visual delight wherever it is planted, at the front door, the garden gate, backyard garden, along the fence or just by the border of the sidewalk like these ones.
Hollyhock flowers are an irresistible source of inspiration for painters of all times, including myself.

My grandmother grew hollyhocks at the side of her house and so I always have them in my garden to remember her by. They are such a lovely old fashioned favourite. I love the pale pink. Such a lovely shade.
I've never grown hollyhocks before and I don't even remember them growing in the garden when I was a child either. Someday I would like to grow these from seed. Your pink ones are beautiful.

Lovely hollyhocks! Love the shade between pink and purple. Your lush pink peonies below are also lovely! They smell heavenly - I wish they would bloom all summer! Wouldn't that be great?

Your work continues to inspire me. It looks so easy but I know it is not. The peonies below are gorgeous also. I do grow peonies but miss the hollyhocks and need to make some happen for next year.
Oh wow! I love the shade of pink then maroon. Do they belong to the hibiscus family, 'cos they're similar to it.

Kathy, I don't know what language do you see; my blog is in English, that's why the translator doesn't offer an English translation.
Thanks, Maia. Just something quirky, I suppose. Yours and one other blog I follow somehow got translated to some unknown language that I couldn't even recognize. I changed it to Spanish with the hopes of reading a bit. Evidently just a technical problem on my end which I was finally able to correct. But why just two blogs? Weird. Now at least I found the link to your painting, which is absolutely gorgeous. You're a very talented woman.
