Though it has five stems and many flowers, these are not so beautiful as the white orchid.
While new buds are opening, some of them, especially at the end of the old branches are drying out and falling down. It is visible in the next picture.
It was not so obvious last week, when I bought this orchid.
Probably, it is the result of the high temperature we had at that time.
Its branches are growing in all directions, its difficult to have them all in the lens.

Wow - those shots are perfect. You've photographed it beautifully.
Its the heat Maia.
Just think that orchid was in a greenhouse in Holland on the Monday getting perfect heat and light and fanned when the temperature was getting above 25, then on the Tuesday morning it was in the auction - then got delivered to the despatch wholesaler by lorry then probably travelled by another lorry across Europe to get to Romania and then by the Thursday was in the shop and sitting in a plastic sleeve. So in all that heat its probably been quite stressed before it ever got to your home.
If the temperatures have gone down now I think the rest of the buds should be fine - keep it away from west and south facing windows and give it plenty of humidity - ie sit it on a saucer of pebbles and some water in the pebbles but not enough for the roots to be sitting in it.

I think so too, it was the heat.
Flowers come by plane but the sellers at the market put the flowers in front of their little shop, to attract buyers.
I think, it was left in the bright sunshine but it will heal in no time.

This is a beautiful series Maia. The composition and clarity in these shots are superb.
There is something about a pink bloom on any flower, but these are really beautiful. I started paying attention to orchids after finding this blog. I don't own one—yet. ;)
