Earlier, I was chasing a butterfly but, unlike mushrooms, butterflies don't stay put. Even when a butterfly stays still for a moment, either the sun is too bright, or the position is not good.
So I gave up the chase and spent some time around these mushrooms.
I don't know their name or even if they are edible or poisonous but I like how they look.

I really love the way that mushrooms photograph. I think they are neat.
I love to photo mushrooms too. One of my favorite pictures during the last year was of a variety of mushrooms I found in a Chinese market. I shot some wild ones during my recent trip and some of my family members thought I was so silly. I quieted their comments by saying I had seen the fairies that lived underneath them! I think your specimens probably also have maybe even a fairy queen's castle under their umbrellas!
Wonderful details in the second image. Makes me want to grab my macro lens and hunt for mushrooms.
The second image really caught my eye with its exposure and detailing.
I have to agree with others, the 2nd shot is fascinating. Love the angle.
