At the beginning of the week I visited a farm, outside the town, with the intention to take some sunflower photos.
Well, I can say, it's autumn on the fields.
Though the sunflowers are still gorgeous and I took many photos, the day's main attraction was chasing butterflies in the owners' flower garden.

Flying from flowers to flower after butterflies it was interesting to see that Peacock butterflies like these bright yellow, double African Marigold flowers (Tagetes erecta} and Painted Lady butterflies like Zinnias, so they don't have to share the yummy nectar.

Beautiful macros...I like how the spots on the butterfly's wing look like eyes. Have a great weekend!

Wonderful shots Maia :) I love the colors, so bright, yet not painful in the eyes.
I've shown my husband your collection of raindrops-macro, and just like me, he adored your photos.
Very pretty. The markings almost make it look like a moth. And now that I say that I realize I don't really know the difference between moths and butterflies. Something to learn, I suppose.
Have a great weekend.
That buttefly is gorgeous! Great photos.
so glad that you got some more great butterfly photos. Those peacocks are so colourful - they are frequent visitors just now in my garden aswell.
That is simply WOW! Great one Maia!
The markings on these butterflies are stunning! Especially love the butterfly's brown tones in contrast with the "crepe-y" folds of flower gold in the first photo!
Stunning macros and the color detail on the butterflies is just heavenly.
These are absolutely stunning! Gorgeous butterfly and wonderful shots!
when I was young, i wondered why butterflies' eyes were so big.
Actually I like the last one best, as it gives the feeling of really seeing a real butterfly in a real garden. All beauties, though. I've never seen butterflies like that at all.
What an awesome butterfly, I can see why you were chasing this one Maia. The colors and spots are so beautiful. Great captures of both the butterfly and the blooms.
Wow! My first to see this kind of butterfly. Loved its design and color. You captured it so beautifully.
That's an extraordinary beautiful butterfly, Maia..The colors and designs on it are just amazing!
This is my first time sharing with you here on Saturday. Your photos are beautiful and such a blessing to have a butterfly like this so close up ♥
